(Ingredients: Water, Coconut Oil, Modified Starch, Salt, Tricalcium Citrate, Vegan Flavour, Preservative (E200), Colours (E160a, E160c), Vitamin B12).  Contains stabilizer as permitted food conditioner, permitted preservative, flavouring and colouring substances.

Appearance, Texture & Meltability:  Emborg Vegan Cheese looks and feels like regular non-vegan cheese.  It is firm and has the right amount of thickness.  It becomes creamy and soft when melted.  It melts well and easily on its own in less than 8 seconds (in a microwave).  1⭐ 

 

Flavour & Taste:  Emborg Vegan Cheese has a mild cheese flavour which is not overpowering.  It is not too salty and tastes good on its own and also in burgers, sandwiches, crackers, etc.  1⭐

 

Price:  Emborg Vegan Cheese costs less than RM24.00 per pack of 10 slices which is approximately RM2.40 per slice.  A monthly consumption of Emborg Vegan Cheese would cost approximately RM72 per month.  0⭐

 

Overall Impression:  Emborg Vegan Cheese is a great tasting vegan cheese alternative to dairy cheese.  It appears to have the texture, meltability and taste that I look for in a really good gluten-free vegan cheese and I like that it contains coconut oil.  I am quite impressed by it except for the affordability factor.  I don't think it's sustainable to have it in the long run.  It is a great product to try but a continuous consumption of it will definitely deliver a big hole in the monthly food budget.  1⭐

Appearance, Texture & Meltability:  Violife Cheese looks and feels like regular non-vegan cheese.  It has a thick and firm texture.  It becomes soft and creamy when melted.  It melts well and easily on its own in less than 8 seconds (in a microwave).  1⭐ 

 

Flavour & Taste:  Violife Cheese mozzarella has a subtle mild cheese flavour, however, the cheddar tastes a tad bit saltier.  It tastes good on its own and also in sandwiches, burgers, etc.  1/2⭐

 

Price:  Violife Cheese costs less than RM14.00 per pack of 7 slices which is approximately RM2.00 per slice.  A monthly consumption of Violife Cheese would cost approximately RM60 per month.  1/2⭐

 

Overall Impression:  Violife Cheese is a great attempt at being a substitute for dairy cheese that is free from preservatives and I like that it contains coconut oil.  I also appreciate that the front label of the product already gives me everything I need to know about it including allergen information.  I hate having to waste my time researching online about the product before purchasing it.  It is a great product to try and to enjoy on a daily consumption if money is not a problem.  As a gluten-free vegan, I admire the conscientious efforts of this cheese company.  However, I am not totally impressed yet.  1⭐
