Overall Impression:  Field Roast Chao Vegan Slices is without a doubt THE BEST VEGAN CHEESE I have ever tried in my life!  Field Roast Chao Vegan Slices is THE perfect rich creamy cheese with all the cheese qualities I want and more!  I expected this cheese to be perfect and the best because of the price and it delivered and then some!  Whatever it is in this product, it could very well be the Chao Tofu, it gave this cheese THE heavenly creamy goodness that I can only savor from this cheese that still lingers after the last bite!  Field Roast has magnificently perfected the art of creating THE first-rate first-class vegan cheese!  Field Roast Chao Vegan Slices is heavenly perfection in a cheese and I'm overjoyed I've tried it!  If there was a World Cup of vegan cheese, Field Roast Chao Vegan Slices would be the undisputed winner and champion!   FIELD ROAST CHAO VEGAN SLICES IS THE BEST VEGAN CHEESE EVER!  This is one product I would happily and wholeheartedly spend money on.  It is unfortunate though that it is so expensive.  This cheese is not for anyone on a tight budget.  However, Field Roast Chao Vegan Slices is still THE BEST VEGAN CHEESE TO TRY!  Field Roast Chao Vegan Slices is THE BEST VEGAN CHEESE EVER and the best vegan cheese ever would probably come once in my lifetime --- to enjoy it just once would be a disgrace to me as The Vegan Vuddha and would bring dishonor to My Gluten-Free Vegan Haven (Malaysia)!  My Gluten-Free Vegan Haven (Malaysia) will never be complete without Field Roast Chao Vegan Slices!  FIELD ROAST CHAO VEGAN SLICES IS THE BEST VEGAN CHEESE EVER --- IT DESERVES MORE THAN 5 STARS!  IT DESERVES THE GOLD STANDARD!  2

Here is the 5-Star Point System by The Gluten-Free Vegan Baker Malaysia (The Vegan Vuddha)
1for Appearance, Texture & Meltability
1⭐ for Flavour & Taste
1 for Price
2⭐ for Overall Impression

Appearance, Texture & MeltabilityDairy-Free Down Under Cheese looks and feels like regular dairy cheese.  It has a thick and firm texture.  When melted, it becomes creamy and soft.  However, it doesn't melt easily and takes longer to melt.  1/2

Flavour & TasteDairy-Free Down Under Cheddar doesn't taste like cheddar and Dairy-Free Down Under Mozzarella doesn't taste like mozzarella.   They taste very different and don't have THE familiar cheddar and mozzarella flavours.  0

PriceDairy-Free Down Under Cheese costs less than RM22.00 per pack of 12 slices which is approximately RM1.85 per sliceA monthly consumption of Dairy-Free Down Under Cheese would cost approximately RM56 per month1

Overall Impression:  Dairy-Free Down Under Cheese is a dairy-free cheese product that appears to be a good alternative to dairy cheese.  It has the look, texture and quality of a dairy cheese.  However, this is not the case.  Dairy-Free Down Under Cheese is the kind of product I would consider as misleading.  The product labels do not reflect a true representation of what's inside the pack.  Dairy-Free Down Under Cheddar doesn't taste like cheddar and Dairy-Free Down Under Mozzarella doesn't taste like mozzarella.  Both cheese products don't possess the familiar and popular flavours of cheddar cheese and mozzarella cheese.  Cheddar cheese and mozzarella cheese have universally well-known historically established cheddar and mozzarella flavour notes that all generations of people have grown accustomed to.  To remove and modify those flavours would render cheddar cheese and mozzarella cheese unrecognizable.  Cheddar cheese would be just any yellow cheese and mozzarella cheese would be some kind of quickmelt cheese.  Using the words "Cheddar" and "Mozzarella" on their products is misleading and unacceptable to me.  "Almond Cheese" or "Soy Cheese" or any other names that best reflect the true character and flavours of their products would have been more desirable.  As a gluten-free vegan, I still admire the innovative efforts of this cheese company for trying to forge a different product range from other vegan cheese companies.  However, I am still an extremely annoyed consumer who didn't get what I paid for.  I may be a vegan but I still know what real cheddar cheese and real mozzarella cheese taste like.  At the end of the day, that matters to me and so their OVERALL RATING IS ZERO 0

2⭐ for Overall Impression

Appearance, Texture & MeltabilityEmborg Vegan Cheese looks and feels like regular non-vegan cheese.  It is firm and has the right amount of thickness.  It becomes creamy and soft when melted.  It melts well and easily on its own in less than 8 seconds (in a microwave).  1

Flavour & TasteEmborg Vegan Cheese has a mild cheese flavour which is not overpowering.  It is not too salty and tastes good on its own and also in burgers, sandwiches, crackers, etc.  1

PriceEmborg Vegan Cheese costs less than RM24.00 per pack of 10 slices which is approximately RM2.40 per sliceA monthly consumption of Emborg Vegan Cheese would cost approximately RM72 per month0

Overall ImpressionEmborg Vegan Cheese is a great tasting vegan cheese alternative to dairy cheese.  It appears to have the texture, meltability and taste that I look for in a really good gluten-free vegan cheese and I like that it contains coconut oil.  I am quite impressed by it except for the affordability factor.  I don't think it's sustainable to have it in the long run.  It is a great product to try but a continuous consumption of it will definitely deliver a big hole in the monthly food budget.  1

Overall ImpressionViolife Cheese is a great attempt at being a substitute for dairy cheese that is free from preservatives and I like that it contains coconut oil.  I also appreciate that the front label of the product already gives me everything I need to know about it including allergen information.  I hate having to waste my time researching online about the product before purchasing it.  It is a great product to try and to enjoy on a daily consumption if money is not a problem.  As a gluten-free vegan, I admire the conscientious efforts of this cheese company.  However, I am not totally impressed yet.  1
